When we’re not dancing, Morris dancers like to sing together. So as a sort of sideline, we run a monthly pub sing which is open to everyone. These sings feature mostly sea shanties, drinking songs, and English folk songs, but anything with a great, reasonably easy-to-learn chorus is welcome. Choruses are taught. You’re invited to come join in, lead a song, sing along, or just listen.
Join our Facebook group to find out when and where the next one will be.
Here’s a nice article about us and our pub sings that appeared on the local library’s culture blog.
